Digital Media Technology

 

Course Descriptions:


Digital Media Technology students will learn basic business a practice that will enhance the high tech world we live in. Students begin with a basic curriculum and then choose one of three career paths including Office Technology, Multimedia Technology, and Web Design. They will take those concepts one step further to learn more about computer software, digital cameras, video production, and electronic commerce.

 
Students' hands-on learning will include working on a digital portfolio, producing marketing presentations through PowerPoint, designing web pages using Front Page, editing photographs with Adobe PhotoShop and creating videos with Pinnacle Studio.

DMT students are encouraged to attend post-secondary schools. Community and four year colleges, along with business and technical schools, offer a wide variety of majors in administration, advertising, broadcasting, communication, ecommerce, graphics, multimedia production, public relations, video editing, and web designing. Students have the option to become IC3 and/or Microsoft Office Certified.
