Learn home carpentryinstallations and repairs.  Emphasis ison planning a job, selecting materials and safely using power and hand tools.  Practice dry wall installation, finishing andrepair, and how to install trim around doors, windows, and walls.

Safetywith machines, layout, cutting, blueprint reading, surfacing, joinery, assemblyand finishing will be covered in individualized and group instruction.  Some materials can be purchased through theschool and projects require instructor approval.

Brick and Block

Students learn the basics ofmasonry including estimating, laying brick and block by cutting, chipping,fitting and using bonding materials, building footers, squaring, and handlingelevations.

Basic Wiring - Residential

30 hours                                               $160

Learn to safely repair,replace or add outlets to circuits, wire additions, work with water heatercircuits or ranges, etc.  Emphasis on theproper and safe use of tools, choosing materials and code compliance.

Basic Auto Body Repair

30hours                                               $160

Learn how to make basic adjustments to fenders, doors,hoods, and moldings.  Instruction willinclude repairing dents using plastic fillers, straightening, welding,installing parts and moldings, preparing surfaces, applying primer/surfacer,painting, stripping and spray painting. Students will purchase their own materials and supplies based on theneeds of their projects.

Basic Plumbing - Residential

Learn the correct method tocomplete minor home plumbing installations, replacements and repairs inbathrooms, kitchens, etc.  Learn how toplan a job and choose the right tools and materials.

Program LogicControl

For the technician who needsto know how to program, operate and troubleshoot PLC equipment.  Course includes terminology, installation,maintenance and troubleshooting procedures that are common to allmanufacturers.
