the design and construction of custom furniture, cabinets, and finished wood products Cabinetmakers and millworkers are skilled professionals who are comfortable working with technically sophisticated equipment in a manufacturing setting. A large portion of the cabinetmaker’s job is to set up and operate a variety of machines in order to craft kitchen cabinets, doors, tables, desks, chairs, etc. Students in this program will learn how to draw and read blueprints to determine specific material needs, from the type of wood to the required finish. Instruction will also cover hardware installation, finishing procedures, assembly, and installation work.
